Sweet Bella at two weeks old.

My two weeks in Colorado went by so fast but I am now back home in Albuquerque. It is nice to have a home to come back to even though it is filled with boxes. I have been updating the blog instead of upacking boxes. Bill is flying home tomorrow night from Washington DC and then we both need to get busy hanging things up and making this place a home. I miss the little Simonds family so much. But it was so fun to be there for Miss Bella's first weeks of life. She has changed so much in just two weeks. God has blessed our family greatly.

Popa meets Miss Bella

Bill flew up to Denver for the Labor Day Weekend to meet Miss Bella and help me chase Xander. Xander dropped me like a hot potato and only wanted his Popa. Popa lets him get away with a lot more than Moma does and he sings a really cool "Old MacDonald Had a Farm". I love it.

Spaghetti Face

My main job was watching this cutie patootie! You forget how challenging it is to get a 21 month old to eat. Fortunately he loved his Moma's spaghetti. This boy has more laughter and giggles than anyone I know. I already miss our bed wrestling and happy dancing!

I sure do love these babies!

This Moma is very crazy for all of her grandbabies. There isn't anything sweeter:)

Xander day 2 at the hospital

Xander was glad to see his Mom up and out of bed so he took over. Here he is doing his favorite rendition of itsy bitsy spider.

Kicking back in Mom's bed.

Taking a second look at that little sister :)

She finally warmed up and came back to the room. Mom & Dad are looking pretty proud.

What a cutie pie!

Arabella Day arrives - August 25, 2009

Xander meets Miss Arabella Day for the first time .

She weighed in at 6 lbs. 15 ounces exactly the same weight as Xander. She wasn't staying warm so we had to have our first visit in the nursery. Xander was very quiet.

What a sweet face...only a few hours old.

Notice the painted nails

August 12, 2009
Fly to Reno from Denver. Jared and Amber pick me up at the airport and we drive up to Lake Tahoe to hang out at the Embassy Suites. Josh calls to tell us that he asked Bekah to marry him while they were in Yosemite. After he made her hike Half Dome. Josh and Bekah came to join us the next day. It was so fun to celebrate with them. Greta was spending the night with us and she just fell in love with Bekah. Bekah painted Greta's fingernails and toes and let her put on her makeup. She definitely won her over. Which is good since she is a little possessive of her Uncle Josh. The next night Greta and Ingrid spent the night and Josh and Bekah didn't get much more sleep than I did. But it was worth it to be with my girls I can always sleep another day.

Denver in August

We came back to Denver at the beginning of August basically because we were homeless and needed somewhere to stay as we waited for our escrow to close. We took Xander to the museum and also went to pick up Brandon in Breckenridge after a grueling hike he went on. I will be flying to Reno to see the Minden gang and meet up with Josh & Bekah. Bill is flying back to Albuquerque.
