March 2009We went to Lake Havasu with Bill's Mom to spend the weekend with Uncle Udo and Aunt Reik from Canada. It had been quite a few years since we had visited and we had so much fun. Of course, they kept forgetting Debbie doesn't speak Dutch. But I got pretty good at figuring out the gist of the story. It was so nice to see Lydia laughing and sharing remember when stories. She grew up with them in Appledoorn, Holland and then married Reik's brother Herman. We also heard some riveting World War II stories.
